Research Connection

Research is once again affirming the need for brain breaks. In a 2025 UK research study, partipants who got informal brain breaks - drinking water, talking to a classmate, closing their eyes, or stretching - outperformed peers who where expected to have sustained attention during the entire lecture. Depending on the age of your students, it may be necessary to have break breaks every 8 to 15 minutes.
